Tap Into Indie: Rob Carona

As we continue our Tap Into Indie Series, I have the pleasure of bringing to you once again, Rob Carona. Carona is an artist that does not fit into one genre. With an R&B, Rock, and Country background, finding himself musically was not quite the easiest of tasks.

Luckily, the country music genre has embraced cross-over. That was when Carona knew he would find a secure place in music and decided to move to Nashville, Tennessee. Making the move from California to Tennessee was exciting for Carona and his young family. I myself, know that making that move can be a little scary, but like with any other move will be worth it as long as you focus on your goals and make the proper adjustments all while having the right attitude.

Carona definitely has the right outlook and attitude. During my conversation with him after his performance at Alley Taps as part of the Heart Songs Records and Center Stage Magazine Independent Artist Showcase, Carona and I spoke about the connections he has been able to make since his move to Music City. With a look of gratitude plastered across his face in the form of one of the brightest smiles I have seen, Carona shared what his experience has been like and spoke of the moments he was taken under someone else's wings to meet some of the best people in the business.

Appreciative of the time spent by others on his career, Carona decided to do the same for new artists starting out. In fact, it was during his performance at our showcase that Carona brought two young musicians on stage with him to share the spotlight and euphoria created by CMA Fest 2017. Carona explained during our conversation the meaningful reason behind that decision. In that moment, I found, even more, respect for the artist that I have adored for nearly 2 years.

Please follow Carona on social media now. He shared his love for connecting with fans, and I know that you will absolutely fall in love with his vocals and charming personality. Watch our full conversation and get to know this artist for yourself. As always, be sure to grab his music and share it with your friends. I am sure they will thank you for it. ~Missy

About Missy Wolf

Missy Wolf Co-Founder, Editor, Journalist & Vice President of the American Country Music Association

From an early age I knew music and entertainment were in my blood. I have always been enamored with the idea of being in this industry, though I never wanted to be a front and center "Star". Taking the audience behind the scenes for up close conversations with the artists they love is where I want to be. Life in lyrics has always been my style, so as my favorite country artist Wade Hayes sings, I am living my life and chasing my dreams! Conducting interviews, meeting talented people and sharing stories and adventure are my passion. My new favorite hashtag is #iaskyouanswer, so stay tuned for more interviews, articles and adventures!
