I love when I get to catch up with an artist I adore. Since being in Nashville full-time, I have been fortunate enough to be able to spend more time with these artists as well as getting to know them on a more personal level. Spencer Crandall is on of the new faces in Nashville too, so we have had a lot to talk about.
As we sat backstage at 3rd and Lindsley, I could not help but feel excited. Just months ago, we were standing together outside of the Troubadour in Hollywood, California, talking about our upcoming moves to Nashville. Being together in Nashville, was a full circle moment for us, so we were both wearing our best smiles.
One of the things you learn quickly about Nashville is the comradery here. The music industry has flooded Nashville with loads of talented artists, and everyone seems to want to help others succeed here. From writing, singing, promoting, managing, etc., people are always willing to help you connect with others.
While speaking with Crandall about the work he has done since making his move, I asked him if he had worked with Vince Gill yet? The look on his face said it all. Gill is the one artist that is brought up in many of my conversations. He has worked with so much talent, lending his own voice and experience to up and coming singer/songwriters. I was not at all surprised when Crandall immediately shared his desire to work with Gill himself. Chances are, that will indeed happen one day. Crandall was elated when he shared his plans for the release of his next single, along with the shocking experience he had not long after moving to Music City. With his voice, looks, and personality, I have no doubts that Crandall will keep making his way right up to the top. The fans love him. The audience was enthralled with his performance, and everyone had an amazing time.
