Conversations with Missy: Marcus Lindsey Band
CMA Fest Artist Spotlight continues with the Marcus Lindsey Band. These guys have become great friends to Center Stage Magazine. While at this year's CMA Fest, these guys were able to perform at Alley Taps for the Iceman's NCMA Fest.
This 5 piece band rocked the house and took everyone on an unexpected musical journey. Singing many originals and highly recognized 80's rock covers, these guys gave the fans exactly what they wanted, a good time.
Fronting the band is Lindsey himself. His vocals are strong and polished. There is no doubt in my mind that their single "One Less Fool in Amarillo" will continue to climb the charts as it has already taken big leaps.
Before their set, the guys greeted me with hugs, smiles and a very special gift that you will see if you look closely while watching our video. This moment is one we had all been waiting so long for. We all made it to CMA Fest. There was an excitement that filled the air inside Alley Taps the moment they walked in. I was so excited as I had been waiting to watch them perform.
Knowing how solid their performances are, it really came as no surprise to me that they were asked to perform again later that evening. After their set, we all headed backstage to store their gear and to sit down to have another conversation. There was so much love and support shown to this amazing band that we had a parade of people head backstage with us. Though they could not stay backstage for long, it was an incredible moment to witness. Everyone was elated.
Please watch our conversation now. Get to know the faces of this phenomenal group of musicians. Marcus Lindsey kicks ass on lead vocals, Jeff Nickolson on bass, "Dizzy" Dave Dalton on keys and Matt VanHiel can bang the hell out of the drums. Yes, I am a total fan girl of this band, but more importantly, they have become dear friends.
Follow the Marcus Lindsey Band on social media and download their latest CD featuring their single "One Less Fool in Amarillo" and another favorite "Another Ex in Mexico". You must get it today, they are just that good. ~Missy
