Don Felder Presents “The Rock & Roll Retreat” Sweepstakes to Benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
Win the Ultimate Nashville Rock Experience – Including a Private Guitar Lesson with Don Felder formerly of the Eagles
August 1, 2025: Nashville, TN – Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee and former member of The Eagles, legendary guitarist Don Felder is inviting fans to take part in a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to win an unforgettable trip to Music City—while raising critical funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®, a cause close to his heart.
Running August 1 through September 6, 2025, the Rock & Roll Retreat Sweepstakes, taking place on October 23-26, 2025, will raise money to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®. St. Jude is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Its purpose is clear: Finding cures. Saving children.® All donations made during the sweepstakes period (less standard PayPal fees) will go directly to St. Jude, where families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food. Sweepstakes entrants can register here.
Felder’s commitment to St. Jude stems from his own childhood health struggles:
“As a young child, I spent two and a half months in the polio ward where music on the radio was my lifeline,” says Felder. “Music gave me hope, freedom, and something to enjoy in such a scary place for someone just beginning their life. That’s where my love for music began—in a children’s hospital. I was fortunate and only have minimal lasting effects. But so many children aren’t as lucky. That’s why giving back to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital means so much to me. I see a little of myself in those kids—the fear, the courage, the fight. Since the hospital first opened its doors, St. Jude has helped raise the childhood cancer survival rate from just 20% to over 80%.”
He continues, “What better way to come full circle than tying in an unforgettable music experience like the Rock and Roll Retreat Sweepstakes—and knowing it’s all helping children who need it most. And the prize package truly is once-in-a-lifetime: round-trip airfare to Nashville, three nights in The Westin Nashville’s Broadway Suite, a personal tour of the Gibson Vault, a 1:1 guitar lesson with myself, a white Epiphone Double Neck SG, tickets to the Musicians Hall of Fame, and attend a showcase at Gibson as my guest! Music, meaning, and making a difference—what could be better?”

About Don Felder
Don Felder is a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, best known as the lead guitarist of the Eagles and co-writer of their iconic hit “Hotel California.” A native of Gainesville, Florida, Felder joined the Eagles in 1974 and made his mark with signature slide guitar work and songwriting contributions on albums like One of These Nights and Hotel California, penning fan favorites such as “Victim of Love” and “Those Shoes.” After parting ways with the band, Felder built a thriving solo career, releasing three solo albums and collaborating with some of rock’s most revered players, including Slash, Joe Satriani, Peter Frampton, and Mick Fleetwood. He is also the author of the New York Times best-seller Heaven and Hell: My Life in the Eagles.
In 2025, Felder celebrates five decades in music with The Vault (Fifty Years of Music), his fourth solo release and debut on Frontiers Music Srl. The album is a curated collection of never-before-finished demos spanning his career—some originally intended for Eagles records—reimagined with an all-star lineup of collaborators including members of Toto, Chad Cromwell, Jim Keltner, and Nathan East. Don Felder tours continuously and remains a creative force, proving that five decades in, he’s still just getting started.
