Exclusive Premiere: Glen Templeton "Honky Tonk Bill of Rights" May 20, 2021

At Center Stage Magazine, we love it when we have the opportunity to exclusively premiere an artist's new single or music video. Glen Templeton and his team at Coastal Cowboy Entertainment took it a step further when they asked us to be a part of the creation of Templeton's new music video for "Honky Tonk Bill Of Rights" from securing a location to finding extras who were not camera-shy, as well as to act in the video ourselves. Without hesitation, we jumped on board for this exciting new project.

Immediately after getting the phone call to find a location that had a Jukebox, I reached out to my local community page for help. Within five minutes of my post asking for help, several people responded with the same location, Soda Pop Junction in Lynville, Tennessee. Right then, I made the call to see if this was something that could work. The voice on the other end of the line seemed elated that we wanted to use their quaint little diner for the filming of this video. After being sent photos of the inside of their establishment, I knew that this could be the very place that Team Templeton was looking for. One thing left to do before planning could begin was to visit this historic cafe and enjoy some food while we were at it to ensure that it would work for this music video.

As filming day approached, enthusiasm grew within the local communities. Residents of Culleoka, Columbia, and Lynville all took part in making the filming of this video a success. From rounding up friends and neighbors to pulling locals right off the street to participate, everyone played an important part and without each of them, the making of this video would not have been possible. Amanda Burns Higgins and her two daughters were featured as line dancers and had this to say about their experience; "My daughter's and I were lucky enough to attend the music video shooting of Honky Tonk Bill of Rights. This was a very enjoyable experience for the 3 of us. The video was shot in a small town, very close to our hometown, so we thought why not go and see what all goes into the making of a music video. It was very fun, we danced, we laughed, we met new amazing people, we truly enjoyed every minute. The entire experience was all around amazing!... Glen Templeton is an amazing artist, he and his family are super nice and very down to Earth."  Tonya Bell also appeared in the video and shared her experience filming as well; "This was one of the best times to ever be had at a shoot. The professionalism displayed by not only the artist but the organizers was top-notch. I look forward to working with them more."

If you have not yet watched the new music video for "Honky Tonk Bill Of Rights", I urge you to do so now. Templeton has stayed true to his roots with this up-tempo "American Country" way of life tune. "This song re-introduced me to the memories of some of the best times I've ever had in life and is an anthem for those like me, who love the good vibes brought to you by your Honky Tonk Bill Of Rights" explained Templeton. This catchy new song is sure to have you dancing and singing along while putting a smile on your face. So, be sure to follow Templeton on social media for all the latest news, updates, and tour information.

Special thanks to Soda Pop Junction and its staff for making this possible as well as all those in the communities listed above for taking part in such a special night. We love you and appreciate all your hard work and effort. ~Missy, Tommy,  and Team Templeton

About Missy Wolf

Missy Wolf Co-Founder, Editor, Journalist & Vice President of the American Country Music Association

From an early age I knew music and entertainment were in my blood. I have always been enamored with the idea of being in this industry, though I never wanted to be a front and center "Star". Taking the audience behind the scenes for up close conversations with the artists they love is where I want to be. Life in lyrics has always been my style, so as my favorite country artist Wade Hayes sings, I am living my life and chasing my dreams! Conducting interviews, meeting talented people and sharing stories and adventure are my passion. My new favorite hashtag is #iaskyouanswer, so stay tuned for more interviews, articles and adventures!
