Conversations with Missy: Mark MacKay at The Ryman
During the second day of this year's Country Music Festival in Nashville, Tennessee, I was excited to see that Mack Mackay was on my schedule of interviews. Every time I have the chance to speak with him, I know we are going to laugh and have a good time. He always shares great stories. Looking back to our previous interviews, Mackay and I have been able to share some amazing moments and continue to feel blessed by them.
As we sat in the media room in Music City Center, Mackay and I kicked things off with the weather. I honestly could not believe the amount of rain that was coming down along with the hundreds of thousands of fans that were not going to let a little rain ruin their good time. When I asked Mackay what his favorite part about CMA Fest was, he quickly and simply replied "The Fans".
Mackay has some pretty amazing fans. As I have continued to watch his career through the social media lens, I have been able to witness the level of support and encouragement they shower him with. That is what this music is about. Being able to connect with fans is absolutely important to Mackay and he has done a fantastic job at keeping everyone entertained and aware of everything he has going on. If you go back and look at some of his posts, you might even find a bit of amusement and wonder.
After sharing the news of having the opportunity to open for Blake Shelton and Tim McGraw, I could feel the excitement radiating from Mackay. These are definitely well-deserved opportunities for Mackay. Not only was he celebrating the ability to open for such well-known heavy hitters, but Mackay was also gearing up to release his newest single "Get Me Through The Night". To put it mildly, Mackay is working non-stop to create music and grow his career. The best part of that is that he is taking all of his fans along on his journey.
Now is the time to start following Mackay on social media if you are not yet doing so. He is definitely an artist to watch in 2019. Bes sure to add his single to your playlist too. You are going to love it. ~Missy
