Conversations with Missy: Leah Turner
Finally, after years of doing our first interview together, Leah Turner and I were able to meet face to face for an on-camera conversation during CMA Fest. I cannot tell you how happy I was to finally have this moment with Turner. Not only is she a fantastic singer, but she is also one hell of a human being with a heart of gold.
As we sat for our conversation backstage at Alley Taps during Indie Fest, I could not wait for Turner to share an incredible story with fans about her superhero father saving the day during the CMT Awards. His reaction as she told the story off camera was completely genuine and is a moment that will forever stand out to me. This story simply had to be told again.
For Turner, writing music from the heart is important. Her latest single "Blah, Blah, Blah" is one that is personal and contains actual moments of her life. As we continued chatting about music, the emotions that go with it, and an artists ability to move you, we could not help but discuss many of our favorite artists and the moments we have had with them from Snoop Dog to Nickelback, Leanne Womack, to Lizzo, and everyone in between.
For more information and to join in on the fun, please watch our full conversation now. Remember to head over to Turner's website for the latest news and updates and do not forget to follow her on social media for even more fun and excitement.
