Wizard World Comic Con with Brian O'Halloran

While at this year's Wizard World Comic Con in Nashville, Tennessee, I was surprised by the number of celebrity guests that were in attendance. Though many people relate the Comic-Con experience to fans that simply love comics and CosPlayers, the truth is that it is so much more than that. The celebrity guest list at Comic-Con includes actors/actresses, voice actors, illustrators, wrestlers, gamers, and basically anyone in the entertainment industry. From the classic Marvel and DC characters to the characters you love on the big screen, there is something for everyone at these events.

On our last day of this three-day event, I was able to chat with well-known actor Brian O'Halloran. Most of you will remember him from his role in Kevin Smith's movie Clerks playing Dante Hicks. With roles in films like Chasing Amy, Mallrats, Dogma, and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, O'Halloran has definitely made a name for himself in the movie industry.

During our conversation, O'Halloran and I spoke about his time spent at the First Avenue Playhouse in New Jersey. He explained what his experience in theater was like and how it helped him with his roles in Smith's movies. Though theater and movie roles are both forms of acting, there is no benefit of a retake in a theater performance, so making sure you know your lines and the lines of those around you is crucial in order to make sure that the performance goes off without a hitch or at least one the audience knows about. Watch our full conversation now to learn how O'Halloran was able to navigate through executing a theater performance.

O'Halloran is staying busy with filming projects, so be sure to follow him on social media to stay up to date with all he has coming up. His latest project Fireball Run on Amazon Prime begins filming again soon, so be sure to check it out. O'Halloran also said they will be doing a "Jay and Silent Bob" reboot, so make sure you stay tuned for more on that as well. ~Missy

About Missy Wolf

Missy Wolf Co-Founder, Editor, Journalist & Vice President of the American Country Music Association

From an early age I knew music and entertainment were in my blood. I have always been enamored with the idea of being in this industry, though I never wanted to be a front and center "Star". Taking the audience behind the scenes for up close conversations with the artists they love is where I want to be. Life in lyrics has always been my style, so as my favorite country artist Wade Hayes sings, I am living my life and chasing my dreams! Conducting interviews, meeting talented people and sharing stories and adventure are my passion. My new favorite hashtag is #iaskyouanswer, so stay tuned for more interviews, articles and adventures!
