Conversations with Missy: Ronnie Eaton Revisited

Many of us enjoy a good scare. I, however, am not one of those people. After my conversation with Ronnie Eaton, I could not help but get chills down my spine.

One of the first things I wanted to talk to Eaton about was his song "Down Wind". What I never expected to hear was the story that became the inspiration for this incredible track on his upcoming album. Though he may have endured some hazing from his band for detailing the events that led to this song, the end result is a unique track that can easily be placed in a movie or mini-series. The story within the lyrics, the inspiration, and the music behind those lyrics have made this song extremely and powerful and a bit eerie.

Remaining true to himself and transparent, Eaton had no problem with explaining where his songs come from and why. This new album, while different than his last release, promises to be equally as entertaining for fans and will bring them a little bit closer to who Eaton is as an artist. Though he may not have realized that his one "chilling" experience would lead to an entire album, he has embraced the fact that the creation of this album was "God's timing".

The second song I heard off his upcoming album is titled "Devil's In My Suitcase". This track immediately sparked the conversation about life on the road and led to the discussion of what it is like to be on the side of a musician's significant other. A musician's life is arguably one of the most difficult and stressful. Finding someone who is secure enough to stay home and support them while they are on the road can be challenging. Thankfully for Eaton, he has found an amazing amount of support that has enabled him to continue to live out his dream. Please watch our full conversation now to learn more about this great artist.

Be sure to follow Eaton on social media as well and take part in his idiegogo campaign. Be one of the first fans to pre-order his new album and discover what extra treats await you. As always, please stay tuned for more on Eaton, as we look forward to sharing more information with you soon. ~Missy

About Missy Wolf

Missy Wolf Co-Founder, Editor, Journalist & Vice President of the American Country Music Association

From an early age I knew music and entertainment were in my blood. I have always been enamored with the idea of being in this industry, though I never wanted to be a front and center "Star". Taking the audience behind the scenes for up close conversations with the artists they love is where I want to be. Life in lyrics has always been my style, so as my favorite country artist Wade Hayes sings, I am living my life and chasing my dreams! Conducting interviews, meeting talented people and sharing stories and adventure are my passion. My new favorite hashtag is #iaskyouanswer, so stay tuned for more interviews, articles and adventures!
