Curb Records has a knack for finding great talent. Recently signing Ruthie Collins to their label has given them a unique artist with a lot to offer the music word. Collins has the remarkable ability to blend sounds that normally do not go together. She is crisp, natural and completely original.

Her debut single “Ramblin’ Man”, showcases her abilities beautifully. Her voice is pure and her delivery of each song is full of raw emotion that draws you in. Collins is a vocal powerhouse that is sure to turn heads all over the world.  Her commitment to creating great music amazes me. Even her cover of Ariana Grande’s “One Last Time” left me in awe. I absolutely loved her version of it.

Performing on the Mane Stage at the Stagecoach festival in Indio, California, Center Stage Magazine Co-Founder Tommy Lemon was able to catch some amazing photos of her terrific live performance. Fans even shared their excitement for her with us after the show. She definitley knows how to entertain a crowd.

During our conversation at Stagecoach, Collins and I spoke about many interesting things. One of my favorite parts about this newcomer is her love for all things vintage. Her debut EP is appropriately titled Vintage. Her love for crafting, vintage clothing, rustic décor and her 1984 Jeep Wagoneer is relatable and fun. She is definitely easy to connect with. We laughed as we spoke about driving our older vehicles. Yes, I have a 1986 Toyota 4Runner named Fred. Watch our conversation to hear more.

Creating great music and crafting is not the only labor of love for Collins. She recently took on the project of renovating a vintage airstream trailer. I am not going to give it away, so you need to watch our video now to find out what she was able to create. I am amazed and I cannot wait to see it in person.  The creativity this artist possesses is exactly what the music industry needs. She offers a fresh new perspective on country music that is excitingly addictive.

Collins is different. She is herself. Let her sound speak to you. Go listen to her now. Follow her on social media and download her latest self-titled EP. I know you will thank me for it later. ~Missy

About Missy Wolf

Missy Wolf Co-Founder, Editor, Journalist & Vice President of the American Country Music Association

From an early age I knew music and entertainment were in my blood. I have always been enamored with the idea of being in this industry, though I never wanted to be a front and center "Star". Taking the audience behind the scenes for up close conversations with the artists they love is where I want to be. Life in lyrics has always been my style, so as my favorite country artist Wade Hayes sings, I am living my life and chasing my dreams! Conducting interviews, meeting talented people and sharing stories and adventure are my passion. My new favorite hashtag is #iaskyouanswer, so stay tuned for more interviews, articles and adventures!
