Conversations with Missy: Nick Sturms Revisited
Recently, Center Stage Magazine was invited by Nick Sturms to cover a writer's round at the Whiskey Rhythm Saloon in Nashville. We jumped at the opportunity as we knew the level of talent in that room would be spectacular.
Sturms introduced the audience to the talent that would be accompanying him on stage, Luke Caccetta, Mark Stephen Jones and Doug Johnson. These four singers/songwriters all possess a unique talent that is equally impressive. For some of you the names may not stand out to you, so let me shed some light on whom these amazing artists are.
Caccetta is a solo artist that has been taking Nashville by storm. Playing at venues such as the Wildhorse Saloon, this artist has been gaining fans and making the hearts of many girls race. His vocals are strong and his guitar playing skills are superb. He is definitely an artist to keep your eyes on. Find him on Facebook at www.facebook.com/lukecaccettamusic
Jones is a 2016 Grammy nominee for Best Country Song. The song that earned him this outstanding credit is "Hold My Hand" by Brandy Clark. You may also remember Jones from his 2007 album release of Self Made Man. His personality alone had me captivated. His performance was wildly entertaining. His writing style is fun yet emotional and his delivery is exceptional. Find more on Jones at www.reverbnation.com/markstephenjones
That leaves us with Johnson. This incredibly talented man has written some of country music's greatest hits. Some of these include "Love Like Crazy" by Lee Brice, "Three Wooden Crosses" by Randy Travis, "Skin" (Sarabeth) by Rascal Flatts and "Living in a Moment" by Ty Herndon. During the round, Jones received a very special phone call. He was going to be a grandfather. He quickly told everyone the fantastic news and off he went. It was one of the greatest moments to witness. The level of happiness within him was so special to see. Congratulations Mr. Johnson. Find more on Johnson at www.dougjohnsonmusic.com
