Conversations with Missy: Kyle Douglas
Kentucky has delivered the music world many great singers and songwriters. Some of these include the Everly Brothers, Rosemary Clooney, Loretta Lynn and Nick Lachey. Only one artist so far has been able to say that he has been played on Country, Rock, Pop, and Contemporary Christian radio stations. Meet Kyle Douglas.
Kyle Douglas has one of the most intriguing starts to a career in music. For Kyle, it was by chance. You can even call it being in the right place at the right time. At one point during our conversation, I felt like I was at a loss for words. This is just something you do not expect to hear. After winning first place in a showcase contest at "Tootsies" in Nashville, Kyle's career took a completely different turn. It was what led to that contest that was ultimately the best story I have heard yet. Listen to our conversation to hear Kyle explain the moments leading up to that fateful day.
Another amazing side to Kyle, besides his outstanding vocal abilities, is his heart and passion for helping others. Kyle is heading the campaign Right Here, Right Now. He has been able to travel to several schools and speak to the country's youth on the topic of addiction and hitting rock bottom. He has been able to give back to so many by becoming a beacon of hope for those who have lost their way, those who are living in a bad situation and those struggling to survive. This story has touched my heart and the hearts of many others. Listen as we discuss what this experience has been like for Kyle and the students he has spoken to.
Kyle's debut EP Clean Hands was released in September of 2015. After hearing this mans voice, it left me yearning for more. It is easy to see how we won the showcase at Tootsies. Thankfully he will be working on his upcoming album with studio time this November. Center Stage Magazine is excited to see where Kyle Douglas goes from here.
Be sure to follow his social media pages, watch his videos (my favorites are attached) and download his EP Clean Hands on iTunes. ~Missy
