Ringo Starr’s “Beats & Threads” Shines at Musicians Hall of Fame in Nashville
On February 20, 2025, the Musicians Hall of Fame & Museum in Nashville opened its doors to a new exhibit celebrating an icon of music and culture: Ringo Starr. Titled “Beats & Threads,” this special showcase, sponsored by Julien’s Auctions, offers fans a rare glimpse into the legendary Beatles drummer’s world. The exhibit kicked off with a private press event and ribbon-cutting ceremony on February 19, attended by Starr himself, alongside museum co-founder Linda Chambers and key figures from Julien’s Auctions. While the private media event was limited on time, I managed to get a couple of questions in, though I completely skipped an intro and the end. Still, I hope you enjoy his answers. Watch it now.
“Beats & Threads” isn’t just about music—it’s a journey through Starr’s six-decade career, blending his drumming legacy with his flair for fashion. Visitors can marvel at curated drum kits, sticks, and snares that powered hits from The Beatles to his solo work, including his recent chart-topping country album, Look Up. Personal documents and iconic outfits—like the mod threads of the ‘60s and beyond—highlight how Starr shaped not just sound but style, too. A limited-edition hardcover book of the same name, with proceeds benefiting The Lotus Foundation, is also available exclusively at the museum and online through Julien’s.
Located at Nashville’s Historic Municipal Auditorium, the exhibit runs alongside treasures like the GRAMMY Gallery and instruments from legends like Keith Richards and Neil Young. For Starr fans and music lovers, “Beats & Threads” is a must-see tribute to a man whose peace-and-love ethos still resonates. Tickets are on sale now—don’t miss this chance to step into Ringo’s rhythm and style.
Starr was inducted into the Musicians Hall of Fame in September 2023 as the first solo drummer and recipient of the Joe Chambers Musicians Legacy Award. Adding to his already illustrious career, Starr recently made his Grand Ole Opry debut and he shows no signs of stopping any time soon. ~Missy
