CMA Fest 2019 with Missy: Jordan Rager

While sitting backstage at Alley Taps during this year's Country Music Festival, Jordan Rager stopped by for an on-camera conversation with me. One of the first things I noticed about Rage was how extremely polite and kind he was.

As soon as we sat down for the interview, we immediately began having fun as we talked about CMA Fest. With a bright smile plastered on his face, he shared how proud his parents were of him and that his mom had been texting him quite frequently to reassure him of her feelings. I instantly fell in love with his parents as I can only imagine how much they love their son.

Rager continued to share that not only are his parents supportive and encouraging of him and his career, but they also took their support a step further by not forcing him to get a 9 to 5 job in order for him to be able to focus on his music seriously.  I know for many artists, that is simply not the case. Rager is definitely surrounded by love with his family and his gratitude for them is extremely obvious.

During our continued conversation, Rager and I shared our vast love for music with each other and discussed the importance of music and what it does for those who listen to it. Having a wide variety of influences, we both shared a few laughs as there are some songs you just have to listen to that bring forward some amazing memories. From Barry Manilow to Blink 182, we covered many artists.

If you have not yet heard Rager sing, do yourself a favor and check out his music now. Be sure to watch his music video for "Small Town Talkin'" and do not forget to watch our full conversation now for more fun. ~Missy

About Missy Wolf

Missy Wolf Co-Founder, Editor, Journalist & Vice President of the American Country Music Association

From an early age I knew music and entertainment were in my blood. I have always been enamored with the idea of being in this industry, though I never wanted to be a front and center "Star". Taking the audience behind the scenes for up close conversations with the artists they love is where I want to be. Life in lyrics has always been my style, so as my favorite country artist Wade Hayes sings, I am living my life and chasing my dreams! Conducting interviews, meeting talented people and sharing stories and adventure are my passion. My new favorite hashtag is #iaskyouanswer, so stay tuned for more interviews, articles and adventures!
