CMA Fest 2019 with Missy: Holloway Road

When interviewing artists, I love when I am able to hear new ideas and approaches to creating music. Knowing that there is no right or wrong way of doing something that you love, hearing a unique approach to something is always exciting for me. Unbeknownst to me, Holloway Road was about to share their amazing story with me.

While I have heard many artists share their methods of writing songs, choosing songs to record and place on their upcoming projects, or simply how they record those songs, I have never heard any of my artists say that they simply record each and every song they write. That is exactly what Holloway Road does. Though we did not have time to dive deep into the reasons why they choose to record everything that is written in some form or another, they explained that with their busy schedules and all they have going on that it just makes sense. Having their own place to record their songs helps a lot too.

As we continued our conversation backstage at Alley Taps right after their packed performance, the guys shared their experience at CMA Fest including which artist they "Fan-girled" over. Do not worry fellas, as promised I will not mention names. I will simply tag him in our social media posts.

After laughing and having a great time with Holloway Raod, I urge you all to check them out on social media, give their pages a "like" and "follow", share them with your friends, add them to your Spotify playlist, and by all means, stay tuned to their website for all the latest news and updates. You are going to fall in love with them as much as the crowds at CMA Fest has. ~Missy

About Missy Wolf

Missy Wolf Co-Founder, Editor, Journalist & Vice President of the American Country Music Association

From an early age I knew music and entertainment were in my blood. I have always been enamored with the idea of being in this industry, though I never wanted to be a front and center "Star". Taking the audience behind the scenes for up close conversations with the artists they love is where I want to be. Life in lyrics has always been my style, so as my favorite country artist Wade Hayes sings, I am living my life and chasing my dreams! Conducting interviews, meeting talented people and sharing stories and adventure are my passion. My new favorite hashtag is #iaskyouanswer, so stay tuned for more interviews, articles and adventures!
