CRS 2018 with Missy: Jenna Paulette
When CMA Fest approaches each year, we always try to be fully prepared for early mornings and late nights as there is always so much going on and far too much to possibly experience it all. As it turns out, the same is true for many of the artists we interview as well.
First thing in the morning on day one of CMA Fest, I was greeted by Jenna Paulette's fresh smile, as she was filled with excitement for this year's Country Music Festival. Though she had been out late the night before, she too was fully prepared for all that the four-day event had to offer from fans to shows, to performing herself.
We laughed as we shared fan stories and joked about possibilities for never-ending album titles by creating "volumes". Paulette also explained what she wants to showcase with her music and why. Staying true to who she is, Paulette has chosen to use her music to share her experience on the family ranch working with mostly Black Angus cattle and the life that goes with it. The album and song titles alone give you a glimpse into the life that Paulette lives and loves. Her latest single "Wild Like the West" off her new album Modern Cowgirl is a project that she and her family can definitely be proud of.
Paulette and I had a lot of fun kicking off our first day of the four-day music festival. Watch our full conversation now and get in on our fun. Be sure to follow Paulette on social media by clicking on the links below and do not forget to grab some of her music while you are at it. You will not be disappointed. ~Missy
About CMA Fest
The Ultimate Country Music Fan Experience™ began in 1972 as Fan Fair®, which drew 5,000 fans to Nashville’s Municipal Auditorium. Now in its 48th year, the legendary festival has become the city’s signature Country Music event that hosts tens of thousands of fans from all 50 states, Puerto Rico and 37 international countries. In 2019, CMA Fest featured 11 official stages with hundreds of artists performing—all to benefit music education. CMA Fest is a one-of-a-kind festival with artists donating their time to perform so ticket proceeds can directly benefit high-quality music programs across the country through the CMA Foundation. CMA Fest is filmed for a primetime ABC Television Network special airing Sunday, Aug. 4, with 2019 marking the 16th consecutive year the event has been filmed for television, a feat no other music festival has achieved.
