CRS50 with Missy: Irlene Mandrell

As we were finishing up our last round of interviews during this year's Country Radio Seminar, we received a last minute addition to our schedule that made our day. Irlene Mandrell took the time to come chat with me before the official end of CRS50.

Though it was my last day of the three-day event, it was Mandrell's first day of interviews. She was all smiles as she explained how she was able to pull off a jam-packed day of CRS interviews during her busy schedule. Not only does Mandrell have a busy work schedule, but she also has a busy family. It is easy to see how much Mandrell loves her family as she beams with excitement while talking about them.

During our on-camera conversation, Mandrell shared details about her new song "Ain't Nothin' But A Heartbreak" and the accompanying music video. Having her granddaughter dancing in the music video brought Mandrell endless smiles. After watching the video myself, I understand why. Mandrell and I also discussed her appearance in Smith & Wesley's  "A Little On The Redneck Side" music video. It is clear that Mandrell is an upbeat person who loves to be a part of the fun.

Be sure to stay up to date with Irlene Mandrell by following her on social media. Remember to head over to her website for all the latest news and updates. While you are there, grab some of her music. You will not be sorry. ~Missy

About Missy Wolf

Missy Wolf Co-Founder, Editor, Journalist & Vice President of the American Country Music Association

From an early age I knew music and entertainment were in my blood. I have always been enamored with the idea of being in this industry, though I never wanted to be a front and center "Star". Taking the audience behind the scenes for up close conversations with the artists they love is where I want to be. Life in lyrics has always been my style, so as my favorite country artist Wade Hayes sings, I am living my life and chasing my dreams! Conducting interviews, meeting talented people and sharing stories and adventure are my passion. My new favorite hashtag is #iaskyouanswer, so stay tuned for more interviews, articles and adventures!
