CRS50 with Missy: Walker Montgomery

As a fan of country music, one of the things that I love about the genre is the stories within any given song. What I look for most, however, is the artist's ability to deliver the story with the right amount of emotion. With his new single "You Heard It Here First" off his debut EP Simple Town, I found myself hanging on to every lyric. My eyes welled up with tears as Walker Montgomery's vocals moved me.

As we met for the first time at this year's Country Radio Seminar, I quickly realized that the man behind the voice that brought me to tears was just as sincere as I hoped he would be. Montgomery had a very calming effect on me and was extremely easy to speak with.

Not only did we talk about his single "You Heard It Here First" but we also spoke about Tom Brady and the New England Patriots winning the Super Bowl. Though I did not plan on that being a topic, Montgomery shared memories as a football player in High School, so I naturally had to bring it up.

Overall, this "All American" young male country artist is one that everyone needs to keep an eye on in 2019. With his latest single reaching the number one spot on CMT's "12 Pack" and remaining there for 3 weeks and counting, Montgomery has many reasons to smile. Join Center Stage Magazine as we continue to watch Montgomery on his successful journey in country music.

About Missy Wolf

Missy Wolf Co-Founder, Editor, Journalist & Vice President of the American Country Music Association

From an early age I knew music and entertainment were in my blood. I have always been enamored with the idea of being in this industry, though I never wanted to be a front and center "Star". Taking the audience behind the scenes for up close conversations with the artists they love is where I want to be. Life in lyrics has always been my style, so as my favorite country artist Wade Hayes sings, I am living my life and chasing my dreams! Conducting interviews, meeting talented people and sharing stories and adventure are my passion. My new favorite hashtag is #iaskyouanswer, so stay tuned for more interviews, articles and adventures!
