Wrapping up our CMA Fest 2018 coverage this week is our good friend and Music Row Independent Artist Of The Year, Shane Owens.

For those of you who may not have discovered the rich vocals and warm personality of Owens as of yet, I promise you that you are in for a treat. Owens is not only a fabulous vocalist, he is also a brilliant writer and top-notch entertainer. 

Always happy to meet and connect with his fans, Owens is also quick to credit them with his success in country music. This is one of the many reasons his fans travel great distances to reconnect with him during country music's arguably largest festival each year.

CMA Fest draws in large crowds each year and allows Independent artists such as Owens the opportunity to meet many new faces and gain even more loyal fans. Owens has a genuine interest in learning more about the fans that come to see him. When you combine that with his welcoming smile and warm hugs, you have the perfect artist to fan connection.  

As I sat with Owens during CMA Fest, he lit up when talking about his fans and the support he has from them along with his family. I could not help but share with him how proud I am of him and all his hard work as well. 

After listening to his new single "Lie", I had to giggle at the sense of humor within the lyrics. Though Owens did not write this particular song on his EP, he explains why he chose this song and exactly who wrote it. If you have not heard it yet, I urge you to grab a copy of it now.
