CRS 2018 with Missy: Craig Wayne Boyd

While attending events such as the Country Radio Seminar (CRS), I know that not only am I going to interview new artists and artists that I have never spoken to, but I am more than likely going to reunite with some of the artists that I have been fortunate enough to develop a relationship with. That is exactly what happened at this year's CRS held at the Omni Hotel in downtown Nashville, Tennessee.

From the second Craig Wayne Boyd sat down with me, we instantly began having a conversation like we were old friends. These moments are simply the best. Though we were all there to promote new music and career projects, I just had to start talking to Boyd about his family's newest addition born on December 28, 2017,  Graydon Scott.

Boyd shared with me the importance of having the discussion with his wife Taylor about his family being in the public eye early on. For many of us, living life in the public eye is never something we have had to consider, so hearing Boyd explain the process of his decision was something that I thought was important for others to hear. Privacy is something that the majority of artists have very little of at times, however, Boyd's ability to plan for moments like sharing the birth of a child with his fans on social media has made those fans feel like they are a part of the Boyd family.

As you will see in his music video "Stuck In My Head" off his album Top Shelf, Boyd definitely loves his family and was more than willing to include them in the filming of the video. I am guessing his family was equally as thrilled to be included. If you have not yet seen the video for "Stuck In My Head" please take a moment to do so.

With the release of his album and music video, I wanted to know what else Boyd was doing. Little did I know, Boyd was going to share some interesting facts about himself including a hidden special talent. From singing and performing to cooking and even painting, fans are sure to keep falling in love with the artist they first fell in love with during Season 7 of NBC's The Voice with coach Blake Shelton.

Watch our full conversation now for more information on what Boyd is up to and what he has coming up. Be sure to stay tuned to Center Stage Magazine for even more on Boyd coming up soon. Trust us, you will not want to miss it. ~Missy

About Missy Wolf

Missy Wolf Co-Founder, Editor, Journalist & Vice President of the American Country Music Association

From an early age I knew music and entertainment were in my blood. I have always been enamored with the idea of being in this industry, though I never wanted to be a front and center "Star". Taking the audience behind the scenes for up close conversations with the artists they love is where I want to be. Life in lyrics has always been my style, so as my favorite country artist Wade Hayes sings, I am living my life and chasing my dreams! Conducting interviews, meeting talented people and sharing stories and adventure are my passion. My new favorite hashtag is #iaskyouanswer, so stay tuned for more interviews, articles and adventures!
