Bryce Leatherwood Treats Fans to Album Release Party

The Voice winner’s self-titled project is available now
For Bryce Leatherwood, it was beginning to look like his life could take one of two directions.
“I was like ‘It’s either going to be landscaping or I’m going to try to chase this dream somehow.’ So I literally sent in a YouTube video, and one shot in the dark changed my life.” The recipient of that YouTube video was NBC’s The Voice, and landscaping’s loss was country music’s gain, as Leatherwood went on to be the winner of the show’s Season 22, picking up a cash prize and a record deal with UMG Nashville.
Around three years later, I joined industry execs, music media and a throng of invited (and excited) fans, May 12, at Nashville nightspot Odie’s Bar to celebrate the release of Leatherwood’s debut album. Listen to/download Bryce Leatherwood here.
For the launch event, Leatherwood’s peeps came up with some fun stuff to keep attendees happy as they gathered at Odie’s. Some neat touches included a phone booth where fans could leave a personal message for Bryce, and special cocktails cutely named for tracks on the album: “Hung Up On You” Margarita, “Where the Bar Is” Old Fashioned, and “God Made” Lemonade, appropriately non-alcoholic.
Then it was time for the man of the hour to hit the stage, and hit it he did, belting straight into the first number without further ado. Leatherwood kept the music coming, using his live performance of the album tracks to showcase his warm baritone. His early influence from the likes of Haggard, Jones and Twitty is evident in his debut album, but this is equally a sound that fits comfortably into twenty-first century country, as evidenced by his major label debut single, “Hung Up On You” scoring a “most added” nod on its release to Country radio in September 2024.
In addition to “Hung Up,” the self-titled debut album collects some other previously-released tracks (“Neon Does,” “Still Learning,” etc., and his current single “Where the Bar Is”) in addition to some new songs. See below for the full track list and songwriter credits.
The album establishes Bryce Leatherwood as a country artist with a future. Find tour dates, videos music at more at his website and follow him on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X and YouTube.
