Tap Into indie: Elizabeth Lyons

Rounding out our Tap Into Indie Series this week is the very talented female vocalist Elizabeth Lyons. After her awesome performance at the Heart Songs Corporation and Center Stage Magazine Independent Artist Showcase at Alley Taps, Lyons headed backstage to chat with me.

This firecracker was so much fun to speak with. From the very beginning, this interview had us cracking up.  With Mark Alan Cash immediately crashing our conversation with a carrot in hand, I knew that where we were headed was going to be a thrill for all of us. I was right. We all had the best time.

Lyons and I spoke about CMA Fest and how it is not only amazing for fans, but that it is amazing for artists as well. Serving as a reunion for many, CMA Fest has indeed brought the joys of connecting fans to artists they love, along with bringing friends and artists together to reconnect even if for a brief moment in between tours, and busy schedules. This is what it is all about. Connections.

As we continued our conversation, Lyons shared some pretty cool news about her latest release "Champagne" and the success it has already achieved including making it onto iTunes Hot Tracks. Lyons also explained that she has some shows coming up that include Fenway Park, Miller Park, Festivals, Alan Jackson, Brett Eldredge, and Blake Shelton. Talk about an exciting schedule. We continued to talk about Blake Shelton for a bit as she has opened for him previously and we had to discuss what that was like and why she is looking forward to doing it again.

From her fans to her new music, VEVO, and everything in between, Lyons is definitely grateful for where she is, where she is going, and how she is getting there. Please be sure to watch our full conversation now and learn how you can become a member of the #LyonsPride. Do not forget to grab her latest single "Champagne" and as always, share it with your friends. ~Missy

About Missy Wolf

Missy Wolf Co-Founder, Editor, Journalist & Vice President of the American Country Music Association

From an early age I knew music and entertainment were in my blood. I have always been enamored with the idea of being in this industry, though I never wanted to be a front and center "Star". Taking the audience behind the scenes for up close conversations with the artists they love is where I want to be. Life in lyrics has always been my style, so as my favorite country artist Wade Hayes sings, I am living my life and chasing my dreams! Conducting interviews, meeting talented people and sharing stories and adventure are my passion. My new favorite hashtag is #iaskyouanswer, so stay tuned for more interviews, articles and adventures!
