Tap Into Indie: Moccasin Creek CMA Fest 2017
As we continue to bring you amazing independent artists from our Tap Into Indie Series, Heart Songs Corporation and Center Stage Magazine is proud to present Jeff McCool of Moccasin Creek to you.
During day two of our Independent Artist Showcase at Alley Taps in the iconic Printer's Alley of Downtown Nashville, our friends Moccasin Creek took the stage to entertain the packed venue. What none of us expected was for the band to sing an extraordinary rendition of our country's National Anthem acapella. As soon as they began, the entire crowd went silent and hats were removed off every head inside the building. This beautiful moment was incredibly touching and reminded me that there are many patriots out there that bleed red, white, and blue. I cannot express how great this moment was with simple text. It was a feeling that strongly moved within each of us present and spoke volumes as to who we are and why we were there. For the first time in a long time, I was able to see unification. That moment was truly remarkable.
After the band was finished with their high-energy, crowd moving set, McCool headed backstage for our highly anticipated conversation. If you remember the last time we were on camera, you can imagine I was anxious to reconnect with McCool.
As expected, he did not disappoint. We were able to talk about people in need, Bell's Palsy, their soon-to-be album release of Lethal, Trucks Gone Wild, moonshine, the upcoming Moccasin Creek cruise on Carnival Cruise Lines, The Goonies, Daphne's singing debut, and so much more. We covered a crazy amount of subjects in just 15 minutes. We laughed hysterically and had an overall great time. McCool may or may not have even proposed a challenge Country Artist Ray Scott. For more details on that, you will have to watch our full conversation now. Trust me when I say, you do not want to miss out on the fun.
