Conversations with Missy: Nick Hickman Talks "Tipsy" and New EP

When you get invited to an EP release party by an artist that you have watched grow from the beginning, the answer is always "Yes". Supporting Nick Hickman on his musical journey has been a thrilling ride for Center Stage Magazine.

Hickman is one of our family members. His newest release Let Em' Speak is cleverly crafted, written, and produced. From the lyrics to the instruments, vocals, and overall mix, this EP is a work of art that Hickman should definitely be proud of. With the fun songs, to the harsh reality of getting over a difficult break-up, fans are sure to relate to every song.

During our conversation before the start of the evening's festivities, Hickman and I shared a lot of laughter and love for one another. His genuine heart and work ethic have played a huge part in his growing success. We discussed his growth as an artist, and I cannot tell you all enough how proud I am of this amazing musician.

As we discussed the title of this fantastic EP, I realised that he has the ability to think in a unique way. Continuously fascinated by our conversations, I was happy to hear his explanation of why he chose this title. Fans are definitely in for a treat.

We continued our conversation with talk about bling, shopping at Boot Barn, and more. I also may or may not have begged him to let me be his "Merch Girl". One day someone will take me up on that offer. All kidding aside, please do yourself a favor and get to know this artist now. Hickman is one hell of a guy that can sing with power, emotion, and a truth that can bring you to your knees.

Enjoy our sneak-peek of his live performance and an on-stage duet with Jessie G. Grab his latest EP Let Em'Speak, and as always, follow him on social media now. Send him a shout out and tell him Center Stage Magazine sent you. ~Missy

About Missy Wolf

Missy Wolf Co-Founder, Editor, Journalist & Vice President of the American Country Music Association

From an early age I knew music and entertainment were in my blood. I have always been enamored with the idea of being in this industry, though I never wanted to be a front and center "Star". Taking the audience behind the scenes for up close conversations with the artists they love is where I want to be. Life in lyrics has always been my style, so as my favorite country artist Wade Hayes sings, I am living my life and chasing my dreams! Conducting interviews, meeting talented people and sharing stories and adventure are my passion. My new favorite hashtag is #iaskyouanswer, so stay tuned for more interviews, articles and adventures!
