Steel Panther Invades Marathon Music Works in Nashville

If you do not have a sense of humour or are easily offended, stop reading now. For those of you who love a good joke, do not mind sexual content mixed in with vulgar and crude lyrics creatively presented in a comedic fashion backed by stellar musicians, then Steel Panther is the perfect band for you to see live at least once in your life.

The nostalgia of 80's Glam Rock is still very high in demand. The era of big hair, gaudy costumes, vibrant colors, and a lot of bling will forever live on in the hearts of many. Is that what makes this band so desirable? Not entirely. The gimmick is what sells it for some, while others simply love the men behind the instruments. One thing is certain, every girl at every show is considered hot and sexy. During their hit song "17 Girls In a Row", women are invited on stage to dance, sing, and get wild with the band. Some take it to the next level by offering the audience a long look at their naked breasts.

Having listened to the band for quite some time, I thought I knew what I would be in for at the live show. I underestimated the level of art these artists produce. The quick wit of Satchel knocked me on my ass a few times. I could not help but laugh at some of the shocking statements, as they were delivered in such a clever and hysterical way. Line after line, obscenity after obscenity, these guys packed the night with some serious and hardcore rock along with seduction.

Observing the fans at the show I could not help but see that the men were adorned with a satisfactory smile after the delivery of each risque lyric, and the women were all but drooling for the attention of the band, some wearing very low-cut cut tops and short skirts. I also witnessed the look of surprise combined with an appreciation of great humour, by one of Nashville's own country artists. Without disclosing his name, I will say that after the show I asked him what he thought and his response was that it was great, but "I feel a little dirty".

If you are looking for an experience that is good, clean fun laced with sexual desire and naughty lyrics, look no more. Go see Steel Panther live. Grab their latest release Lower The Bar and buckle up for one hell of a wild ride with Michael Starr (Lead Vocals), Satchel (Lead Guitar), Lexxi Foxx (Bass Guitar), and Stix Zadinia (Drums). Steel Panther will make a bad day good, and a good day phenomenal.

Do not forget to follow them on social media and share with everyone you know that has a sense of humour and enjoys excellent musicianship. These guys simply rock. ~Missy

About Missy Wolf

Missy Wolf Co-Founder, Editor, Journalist & Vice President of the American Country Music Association

From an early age I knew music and entertainment were in my blood. I have always been enamored with the idea of being in this industry, though I never wanted to be a front and center "Star". Taking the audience behind the scenes for up close conversations with the artists they love is where I want to be. Life in lyrics has always been my style, so as my favorite country artist Wade Hayes sings, I am living my life and chasing my dreams! Conducting interviews, meeting talented people and sharing stories and adventure are my passion. My new favorite hashtag is #iaskyouanswer, so stay tuned for more interviews, articles and adventures!
