Conversations with Missy: LOCASH
Often times, I have found myself feeling nervous before an interview. While I know it is crazy, sometimes the thought of talking with someone who is a "Big Deal", can be intimidating. What I love the most, is how quickly those nerves settle down as soon as the artist/s I am interviewing say hello. Chris and Preston of LOCASH had me laughing and smiling immediately.
The success they have experienced in the last year alone has been remarkable. Their single "I Love This Life", co written by Chris Janson and Danny Myer, has already hit Gold and continues to climb towards Platinum. That single was also the ACM top 5 song played in 2016. Combined with the success of "I KNOW Somebody" hitting number one, and "Ring On Every Finger", this ACM Nominee for Duo or Group Of The Year, shows no signs of slowing down any time soon.
While backstage at 3rd and Lindsley in Nashville, Tennessee, the guys and I sat down for a fun interview. We laughed a few times, I missed a joke, we celebrated, and we shared well wishes to Chuck Wicks along with Kelly and Ty who were recently in a horrific car accident. To show support for their friend, Chris was sporting a "Chuck Wicks" t-shirt. Moments like these are what stands out the most to me. This community cares for one another on a level that I had never seen prior to my move to Nashville.
