As our coverage of the Heroes and Friends Tribute to Randy Travis comes to an end, I am delighted to bring you one of my favorite people of the night. Chuck Wicks is one of those artists that knows how to work an audience while being himself.
Wicks has a personality that draws people to him. Having wonderful things to say about Travis was immediately appealing as he was very genuine and filled with excitement to be a part of that special night.
I quickly discovered that not only is this artist polite and warm, he is extremely funny with very subtle delivery. He caught me off guard a few times during our conversation backstage. After snagging him away from a very fun conversation with Chris Young where I learned what "Always, almost, never" meant, I was almost immediately laughing with him.
Before discussing the evening's events, we discussed our evening wardrobes. We both agree that clothing sponsors would be great. Granted he has a better chance at that than I do, as he wears his clothing quite well. I think you will all agree after watching this video, Wicks is someone you cannot help but enjoy being around.
