Conversations with Missy: David Britt
When you finally get to meet a friend that you have gotten to know through phone conversations and twitter, you cannot help but smile. Our next CMA Fest Spotlight feature is my very dear friend David Britt.
While planning our week for CMA Fest, it occurred to me that I had not scheduled an on-camera conversation with Briit. I immediately called him and asked him when he would be in Nashville. As soon as he responded that he was not playing at CMA Fest this year I was saddened. I knew what I had to do next.
Through constant text messaging and twitter messages, Britt then devised a plan and was able to bring his guitar to Nashville for an on-camera acoustic performance specifically for our Center Stage Magazine viewers. I was overjoyed by the fact that I was able to persuade him to make the long trip to Nashville from North Carolina.
During our conversation, Britt spoke to me about all he has coming up in the future. He has been busy writing new material and shared how one of his new songs even brought his kids to tears.
