Tracy Lawrence Set For 17th Annual Mission:Possible Turkey Fry and Concert
Tracy launches star-studded TL’s Road House podcast
Tracy Lawrence has never been the kind of guy to let the grass grow under his feet. He has always been one of the hardest-working – and most respected – people in country music since arriving in Nashville in 1990.
The following year, with a record deal at Atlantic, he began to accrue a string of Gold and Platinum albums and No. 1 singles (“Sticks and Stones”, Alibis”, “Time Marches On” etc) up to his current album, 2022’s Hindsight 2020 Volume 3: Angelina on his own label, Lawrence Music Group.
In addition to a busy tour schedule and hosting the nationally-syndicated Honky Tonkin’ With Tracy Lawrence Radio Show (find stations here), he will be hosting the 17th annual Mission:Possible Turkey Fry & Concert in November and if that wasn’t enough, he recently launched his first-ever podcast show titled TL’s Road House. See below to find out why that is the perfect name for his new project.
But first, the 411 on Mission:Possible. As before, the benefit concert will take place at Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville on Tuesday, Nov. 22. Joining Tracy will be multi-Platinum artist Gary Allan and rising star Travis Denning. Buy tickets at Ticketmaster here.
Earlier in the day, Tracy and an army of volunteers will conduct the now-legendary turkey fry. Since its inception, Lawrence's Mission:Possible has fried over 8,000 turkeys, provided more than 90,000 meals to the homeless across Middle Tennessee and raised over $600,000 for Nashville Rescue Mission. This year's event aims to fry a record-breaking 1,200 turkeys.
In 2021, the organization created a Spring event, Mission: Possible Celebrity Golf Classic, which has raised over $800,000. Between the two events and outside donations, overall, Mission: Possible has raised over $2M for homelessness and continues to not only fulfill their mission statement, but also advocate for the cause.
And now Tracy has launched his new podcast, TL’s Road Show. That’s an apt name for the show as it takes place on Tracy’s tour bus rather than in a studio. New episodes of the podcast premiere every Wednesday morning via Anchor and can be seen on Tracy’s YouTube channel. In each episode, Tracy kicks back on the bus and talks with fellow country artists. The first episode (with Jelly Roll) and the second (with Michael Ray) are currently posted. Upcoming episodes will feature Jason Aldean, Lainey Wilson, Michael Ray, Dustin Lynch, Tracy Byrd, Alexandra Kay and Dee Jay Silver with more to be announced. Watch the one-minute sizzle reel here.
"It's definitely a learning curve putting this podcast together,” Tracy admitted. “Cameras have fallen for sure, but we've made some good adjustments after getting a few in the can.” That attitude sums up the laid-back vibe of the series that leaves no question off the table.
A hit recording artist with a track record of thirty+ years and a full calendar of tour dates, the host of a nationally-syndicated radio show, a recognized “Philanthropist of the Year” for his tireless advocacy for the homeless and now the host of a star-packed podcast. Tracy Lawrence shows no sign of slowing down – for which his fans are truly thankful! More about Tracy at his website, Facebook page, on Instagram, Twitter and Tik Tok.
