In what seemed like a dream, Center Stage Magazine was invited to the home of Hollywood royalty for a special conversation with legendary Ruta Lee. From the moment we arrived at her gorgeous home in Beverly Hills, you could feel an enormous amount of awe and wonder. The stories held within those nearly 100-year-old walls must be filled with glamour and excitement. As Lee welcomed us at the front gate, I knew immediately that we were about to embark on a special journey. From her new rescue pup to the freshly brewed coffee along with my favorite biscotti, the welcome reception from her was off to a glorious start. Not only was the welcome we received unexpected, but it was also to date the best welcoming we have received. 

Once inside this extraordinarily beautiful home, it was almost difficult to choose the best place to film. Each room held its own stories and personalities, so we opted for the room where many have gathered. The room was filled with happiness and warmth. From the gorgeous furniture with that special flair of Hollywood Glamour to the grand color scheme and height of the room, it felt like we were indeed transported back in time to the height of Hollywood magic.

Though I was unaware at the time, this room would be the perfect place for our conversation as Lee shared many of the stories that are in her new book affectionately titled "Consider Your Ass Kissed". As she shared the reason for the title of the book, I could not help but smile as it is the perfect way to capture its true meaning. From her days with the Rat Pack, receiving the nickname "Loudy", working with Lucille Ball, and discovering which of Hollywood's earliest stars lived in her home before her family bought it in the late 1940s, we covered a lot of ground and shared many laughs. 

I hope each of you enjoy this interview as much as we did. I cannot say enough about the character and heart of this incredibly gracious woman. Not only has she captured the hearts of millions across the globe throughout her career, but she has also welcomed you all into her home and shared amazing stories that I hope will make you want to hear more. Her new book is filled with so many entertaining moments in her life and career and could not have been released at a better time.
