Exclusive Music Video Premiere: "Scars" by Tera Lynne Fister
Center Stage Magazine is excited to bring you the exclusive lyric video premiere for Tera Lynne Fister's single "Scars". When we asked Fister about the idea behind creating this video, this is what she said;
"The idea for the “Scars” lyric video really originated when I was planning the artwork for the single. When I listen to “Scars,” I always envision an old school comic book playing in my head. Pages turning with Marvel like characters swinging away at their enemies, crashing a car, or breaking a heart all while the classic “BLAM!” and “POW!” noise effects bring the pages to life. When you sit and read the lyrics, they can be quite literal of the physical things that cause scars on our bodies. Hence, why when you see the single artwork, it's very comic book themed. My shirt I even created using sharpies drawing broken hearts all over with stitching. So when it was time to create the video, I knew I had to call creator and animator Jaired Messing. We had maybe three phone calls during the process. He took all of my crazy ideas and visions and followed them to their core. He made my vision a reality. It was like he had crawled and lived inside of my mind for that month. It is unreal. I am so proud of this art and what it represents."
Songs all have stories. While some may be made up, others are witnessed and or experienced. Knowing that most everyone has some type of scar, many of us never think about them. This is why I had to ask Fister about the story behind the song.
“Scars have a history and a story behind them. This journey we are on can teach us something, just like our scars. They make us think about our life and how we can use the scars we have to teach others. Very rarely do we actually get to pick our scars - something I learned amongst doing some introspection of my own scars for the purpose of creating this song. I hope you love it! And I hope you’ve come to love and appreciate every scar on you, too.” ~Tera Lynne Fister
Please take a moment to watch this fun video and be sure to share it with your friends as this is one song that most everyone can relate to. Remember to follow Fister on social media, give her pages a "like" and "share", and do not forget to subscribe to her YouTube channel. ~Missy
