Center Stage Magazine is excited to premiere Southbound 75's lyric video for their debut single "Not Ready To Say I'm Sorry Yet". Alt-country rockers Southbound 75, are a Tampa-based quintet. Since their inception in December of 2018, these immensely talented musicians, have already begun making a name for themselves.  Southbound 75 is quickly gaining more attention and have already been recognized as one of ReverbNation’s Top Emerging Country Act.

Here is what lead songwriter Mark Lorenzo had to say about their debut single; “The whole song started with the first line, ‘what you are to me is a cell phone full of pissed off memories…’ and the whole song was done in an hour because it was true. I knew I was wrong but I wasn’t ready to admit it. I think that song just resonates well with our fans live. We always knew it was going to be the first single.”

Southbound 75 plans to release their full debut album, Tales From The Black Swamp, later this summer. For more information on Southbound 75 and their debut release, please read the full press release below. ~Missy

“Not Ready To Say I’m Sorry Yet” introduces songwriter Mark Lorenzo’s ability to craft a cleverly written song about dealing with the immediate personal feelings born out of heartbreak, an established theme at the very core of many great country & rock songs.

“The whole song started with the first line, ‘What you are to me is a cell phone full of pissed off memories…’ and the whole song was done in an hour because it was true. I knew I was wrong but I wasn’t ready to admit it. I think that song just resonates well with our fans live. We always knew it was going to be the first single.”

Southbound 75 was recently named as Best New Country Band by The Tampa Bay Musicians Network. This early nod of endorsement comes by way of the band’s lineup of seasoned professionals, led by singer/songwriter Mark Lorenzo, who is backed by bandmates Kevin Doris on strings, Vance Eskesen on bass, and Gregg Giacobbe on drums.

“We have really taken our time to record these songs,” Lorenzo explained. “What has happened is that we have created a kind of ‘best of’ album, even though this is our first official release as a band. These are really my favorite songs I have ever written!”

Missy Wolf Co-Founder, Editor, Journalist & Vice President of the American Country Music Association

From an early age I knew music and entertainment were in my blood. I have always been enamored with the idea of being in this industry, though I never wanted to be a front and center "Star". Taking the audience behind the scenes for up close conversations with the artists they love is where I want to be. Life in lyrics has always been my style, so as my favorite country artist Wade Hayes sings, I am living my life and chasing my dreams! Conducting interviews, meeting talented people and sharing stories and adventure are my passion. My new favorite hashtag is #iaskyouanswer, so stay tuned for more interviews, articles and adventures!
