CMA Fest 2019 with Missy: Kalie Shorr

During our CMA Fest interviews, I know I am always going to have an opportunity to reconnect with an artist that I have bonded with during a previous on-camera conversation. In fact, I tend to get aggressive when making sure that these artists are on my schedule as I love keeping up with their journey and bringing fans along for the ride. With Kalie Shorr, I can always count on us having a good time. Though we never know where our conversation will lead, we both know it will involve fun stories, laughter, and long-lasting memories.

This year's CMA Fest just so happened to take place during a lot of rain which kept the temperatures cool, however, did not keep fans from enjoying the four-day event. Fortunately for Shorr, the rain was on hold during her outdoor performance in front of the Bridgestone Arena. With a packed crowd, my kids and I enjoyed watching Shorr perform with a full band. From her fan favorites to her new music, Shorr put on one hell of a show.

As we sat inside Music City Center for our interview, Shorr shared her experience during CMA Fest including the number of fans she was able to connect with, her fan club party, playing her new music, and so much more. Shorr even shared that Country Icon Randy Travis and she has a newly formed friendship. As she explained what it was like to be at Travis' 60th birthday celebration, I found myself with eyes that were welling up with tears. What an amazing memory to have. Watch our full conversation now to hear more.

If you are not yet following Shorr on social media, please do so now. Remember to head over to her website for all the latest news and updates and do not forget to grab her latest single "Lullaby". ~Missy

About Missy Wolf

Missy Wolf Co-Founder, Editor, Journalist & Vice President of the American Country Music Association

From an early age I knew music and entertainment were in my blood. I have always been enamored with the idea of being in this industry, though I never wanted to be a front and center "Star". Taking the audience behind the scenes for up close conversations with the artists they love is where I want to be. Life in lyrics has always been my style, so as my favorite country artist Wade Hayes sings, I am living my life and chasing my dreams! Conducting interviews, meeting talented people and sharing stories and adventure are my passion. My new favorite hashtag is #iaskyouanswer, so stay tuned for more interviews, articles and adventures!
