When it comes to meeting new people, you never know how you will connect or what you will find that you have in common. It is during these moments that you can find a kindred spirit, someone who gets what you have gone through, or even someone you feel is your long lost twin. Fortunately for me, Brinn Black is all of those things for me.
When Black first walked up to our booth in the media room at Music City Center for our interview at CMA Fest, I could already tell that we were going to have fun. What I did not fathom was how much we both had in common, or how much loss she has faced in such a short time. In fact, watching her smile and continue to follow her dreams in the midst of all the loss she suffered was and is an inspiration for me and many others. These interview moments are a blessing from GOD. We need them. I need them. No one on Earth is truly alone. This interview is a perfect example of that.
From loss to birthing new songs, ideas, a nonprofit organization, and a festival appropriately titled Lyrics On The Lake, Brinn has taken full control of her life and her dreams and is showing the entire world that if you dream it, you can absolutely achieve it. She can also help you get rid of crickets that may be hiding in your house and annoying you with loud chirps at the worst times. Watch our full conversation now to hear the incredibly funny story that you just could never make up.
If you have not yet started following Black on social media, please visit the links below and giver her pages a "like", "follow", and "share". Be sure to grab some of her music too. Her latest single "72's" is fantastic. Black is definitely a powerhouse that is full of emotion and one that you need to get to know and watch. ~Missy
