On Monday, February 4th country music artist Zach Neil visited us at The 615 Hideaway. Neil an Ontario native started playing guitar at age 12. He also formed a band in high school playing locally and in the surrounding communities. His baritone voice puts you in mind of traditional country music.

Neil credits Merle Haggard, George Strait, Mark Chesnutt and Wade Hayes as some of his musical inspirations. Neil will soon be releasing a new album, the end of March is his target date. While he was at The 615 Hideaway he played one of his new songs for us and I absolutely loved it. "Roll on Mississippi" will be on this upcoming album. It has such a catchy vibe that makes you want to sing along... and it has been stuck in my head ever since.

With it being so close to Valentine's day when he was on the show I had to ask him what his favorite country love song is, answering without hesitation he said "That's the way love goes" by the Hagg. Neil is a very talented young man and I cannot wait to hear more from him. He will be at CMA Fest this year and I am planning on tracking him down. It is a performance that no one should miss. Thanks, Zach for visiting with us at The 615 Hideaway... We enjoyed it! ~Angie Dawn

About Angie Dawn

Angie Dawn Journalist | Photographer

As a young child, our house was constantly filled with the good ol' country music. My grandma was a singer and songwriter.. she actually had a record and had written for the likes of Patsy Cline. I loved hearing that woman sing.. it was angelic. That old country music runs deep in my soul. I remember watching t.v. telling everyone that I would be on that grand ol' Opry stage one day. The fact that I can't carry a tune in a bucket wasn't gonna stop me. Lol... so the chance that I've been given to work with Center Stage Magazine is God sent.
