CRS 2018 with Missy: Leslie Satcher

When you listen to the radio and hear one of your favorite country artists sing, chances are you are you may not realize who wrote that particular song. Being in Nashville, I have discovered that there is a giant network of singers/songwriters that work together to birth the music that we all love.

As I sat down with Leslie Satcher at CRS 2018, we spoke about her impressive catalog of songs that have been cut by artists such as George Strait, Vince Gill, Martina McBride, Trisha Yearwood, and Willie Nelson just to name a few. Stacher was very humble and completely honest about how she first celebrated having her first song cut by nonother than Strait himself. Purchasing the family's first big-screen t.v. to celebrate her first cut made a big difference when it came to watching the artists sing songs she wrote during lavish award shows.

Not only do fans know Satcher for her superior songwriting skills, they also know her for her incredible vocal abilities. With her new single "This Won't Take Long", Satcher treats fans once again as she brought in artist Sheryl Crow along with Gill to help her make this song perfect. As she shared her new single featuring these two special guests, Satcher remained completely grateful to them for lending their talent to her latest album.

Not only are Gill and Crow featured on this new Blues album, Satcher lined up an all-star band to go with it. Musicians from Reba McEntire, Bob Seiger, and Aretha Franklin's bands have all joined forces to make this album one of the best.  Be sure to get your copy of the new single "This Won't Take Long" now and share it with your friends.  Remember to follow Satcher on social media if you are not yet doing so and stay tuned for the release of the Leslie Satcher & The Electric Honey Badgers album coming out soon. ~Missy

About Missy Wolf

Missy Wolf Co-Founder, Editor, Journalist & Vice President of the American Country Music Association

From an early age I knew music and entertainment were in my blood. I have always been enamored with the idea of being in this industry, though I never wanted to be a front and center "Star". Taking the audience behind the scenes for up close conversations with the artists they love is where I want to be. Life in lyrics has always been my style, so as my favorite country artist Wade Hayes sings, I am living my life and chasing my dreams! Conducting interviews, meeting talented people and sharing stories and adventure are my passion. My new favorite hashtag is #iaskyouanswer, so stay tuned for more interviews, articles and adventures!
