Conversations with Missy: James Robert Webb
For artists like James Robert Webb, music is a way to tell a story that people can relate to. Being a fan of many genres, Webb found that his place in music is in the country music genre. As a traditionalist, Webb enjoys the sounds of a true Honky Tonk.
With his latest full-length album, Honkey Tonk Revival, Webb embraces the sound of the steel guitar and captivates his audience with songs like "Six Strings & The Truth", "Heart Hangover", and his favorite "American Beauty".
During our conversation on Pedestrian Bridge with the Nashville skyline behind us, Webb and I enjoyed laughter as we joked about sweating in the heat, Fall, and Pumpkin Spiced Latte. Connecting to Webb on a real level proved exciting as his personality is saturated with humor, genuine appreciation for fans, and a love of life that shines through each of his songs beautifully.
Though he nonchalantly mentioned playing a gig in Santa Barabara to raise funds for a Boy Scout Camp in Solvang, I realized that this artist is not about receiving praise for helping the organization. Webb is definitely one of the kindest and most humble artists I have met to date. With more shows and appearances coming up, I have no doubt his fan growth is going to continue to soar.
