When I saw her and her family walk into Alley Taps to take part in the Heart Songs Corporation and Center Stage Magazine Independent Artist Showcase, I knew that Lexi James was going to ignite the entire audience.

From her show outfit to her hair and makeup, James looked ready for a good time with fans. I knew immediately that this girl had some sass and fire within her. Before her performance, we sat backstage for an interview.

Without hesitation, James jumped right into my world of "crazy" and made the interview fun. I could not help but notice how amazing she looked and needed to tell her. As most of you know, I am just not good at being girly, and this artist was simply stunning. Her makeup and hair were done beautifully and I actually thought someone did it for her. Clearly, she is talented in more than just her music. When combined with her jaw-dropping outfit, I knew that the fans would be eating out of her hands.

While chatting with James backstage, I asked her about music. With her latest single release "The Night Is Young", we joked as that title was perfect for the moment we were in. She excitedly announced that she would be singing her new song during her performance, so I could not wait to see her on stage.

It was easy to see the passion James has for her career. Taking each aspect of her music seriously, James has been able to create a brand all her own. Her look, her sound, and her stage presence were flawless. With her amazing band behind her and a microphone stand that screamed elegance, James set the entire crowd on fire in a high energy performance and left everyone wanting more.

Please make sure you follow James on social media now. Check out her website and make sure you do not miss one of her live shows if you have the chance to go. She is spectacular to watch live and has a personality that will just capture your heart. ~Missy

About Missy Wolf

Missy Wolf Co-Founder, Editor, Journalist & Vice President of the American Country Music Association

From an early age I knew music and entertainment were in my blood. I have always been enamored with the idea of being in this industry, though I never wanted to be a front and center "Star". Taking the audience behind the scenes for up close conversations with the artists they love is where I want to be. Life in lyrics has always been my style, so as my favorite country artist Wade Hayes sings, I am living my life and chasing my dreams! Conducting interviews, meeting talented people and sharing stories and adventure are my passion. My new favorite hashtag is #iaskyouanswer, so stay tuned for more interviews, articles and adventures!
