Conversations with Missy: Sammy Arriaga

One of the things that reality TV has done is bring great music to the world. Arguably one of the best reality shows focused on music is American Idol. Though the hit television show has come to an end, the legacy lives on with the performers that it introduced to the world. Amongst those artists is Sammy Arriaga.

Competing on Season 10 of the hit series, Arriaga was in the company of winner Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina. During our conversation, we spoke about his time on Idol, and the friendships he formed. As a fan, I too wanted to know what life has been like for Arriaga since his season's end. After he shared that he is still in contact with some of his fellow contestants, I could not help but ask if they have considered putting together a reunion-type performance for fans. I then had to take it a step further and ask if he would consider doing an online performance to reach fans in all states. Watch our full conversation now to find out more.

We also spoke about following his dreams of music. Arriaga followed his heart. He is staying true to himself and has seen the blessings that come with that. Urging other artists to do the same, by staying true to their passion and desire to succeed in this business, he also shared some of his own personal experiences. Thankfully, his determination and hard work have paid off. His personality, skill, and stage presence have gained him countless fans.

With his latest release Meet In The Middle, fans will be able to learn even more about this remarkable talent. Follow him on social media, share his music with your friends, and stay tuned for more. ~Missy

About Missy Wolf

Missy Wolf Co-Founder, Editor, Journalist & Vice President of the American Country Music Association

From an early age I knew music and entertainment were in my blood. I have always been enamored with the idea of being in this industry, though I never wanted to be a front and center "Star". Taking the audience behind the scenes for up close conversations with the artists they love is where I want to be. Life in lyrics has always been my style, so as my favorite country artist Wade Hayes sings, I am living my life and chasing my dreams! Conducting interviews, meeting talented people and sharing stories and adventure are my passion. My new favorite hashtag is #iaskyouanswer, so stay tuned for more interviews, articles and adventures!
