Conversations with Missy: J.D. Shelburne and Friends

I love when artists use social media to alert fans of upcoming appearances. When I saw that my buddy J.D. Shelburne was going to be hosting a writer's round at Cerveza Jack's in Nashville, Tennessee, I knew I had to go.

I messaged Shelburne to ask if he would be up for another interview, and he graciously accepted. What I did not expect, was for each of the artists to agree to be a part of it. To say that I was excited is a bit of an understatement. I was thrilled. The talent in that bar was simply off the charts. These guys have extremely unique qualities about them, and when they are all on stage together it is mesmerizing.

Their styles differ, their lyrics match their personalities, and each of them delivers their songs with an undeniable passion. Each of these talented artists brought out their best for the fans in attendance. Some fans traveled a great distance just to see this special performance. I would say that it was well worth the time and miles it took for those fans to get there.

Shelburne was hosting the show, so it was no surprise that he was the one to kick things off. Due to the size of the stage, they split the evening up with two sets. Shelburne sat alongside Ryan Broshear for the first set. Taking turns, both Shelburne and Broshear had the audience eating out of their hands as they sang songs off their latest releases. They were a lot of fun together up on stage. The entire crowd seemed to feed off them and applauded with their approval after each song was finished.

Up next were Tylor Bailey and Michael Grayson Campbell. These two artists were so completely different, yet their songs shared a common theme, trucks. While it may seem funny, these songs were packed with emotion and real life. The messages within these songs were powerful and well absorbed by many. I highly suggest catching each of these remarkable artists at a show in the near future. They are sure to impress you with their vocal and songwriting abilities, not to mention good looks, great smiles, and fantastic personalities.

Be sure to watch our fun interview now. We have included some highlights of the night and know that you will enjoy them as much as those who were there did. Follow each of these guys on social media and do not forget to grab some of their music as well. Thank you for your continued help in supporting these independent artists. I know how much it means to them. ~Missy

About Missy Wolf

Missy Wolf Co-Founder, Editor, Journalist

From an early age I knew music and entertainment were in my blood. I have always been enamored with the idea of being in this industry, though I never wanted to be a front and center "Star". Taking the audience behind the scenes for up close conversations with the artists they love is where I want to be. Life in lyrics has always been my style, so as my favorite country artist Wade Hayes sings, I am living my life and chasing my dreams! Conducting interviews, meeting talented people and sharing stories and adventure are my passion. My new favorite hashtag is #iaskyouanswer, so stay tuned for more interviews, articles and adventures!
