Conversations with Missy: Kelly Ogden of the Dollyrots
After listening to the Dollyrots, I knew I was going to have fun speaking with them. While trying to coordinate our busy schedules, Kelly Ogden and I had an initial conversation via Skype that had us both laughing. At that moment, I knew that the fans were going to be in for a special treat.
Having researched this unique duo, I discovered some interesting things that I could not wait to tackle during our conversation, so I wasted no time and got right to the question asking. I might have caught Ogden off guard at first, though she was immediately ready to spill with a smile upon her face.
What I love most about Ogden is the fact that I could talk to her for hours. She is a happy, real, fun, passionate, and full of life mom in addition to being an artist. Not afraid of being who she is or what she wants, she easily spoke to me about anything and everything including her children (who stole the show during our conversation), time in the studio while pregnant, her fans, her passions, mermaids and even test tubes. I can in no way describe how amazing our conversation was, so you have to watch for yourself.
The Dollyrots have just recorded their sixth studio EP through a Pledge Campaign, and are hard at work fulfilling those pre-orders for their fans.
