Conversations with Missy: Moe Bandy

by Missy Wolf / 2889 days ago / Comments

Just before Christmas, I had the pleasure of speaking to Legendary country artist Moe Bandy. Bandy enjoys performing and has no intention of stopping.

In early years, Bandy had a day job working with sheet metal, though at night he was performing at local honky tonks. Music has been in his blood ever since. Starting out in Texas, Bandy was headed for success after releasing his first record. Explaining that he was scared to death, Bandy said that he had to keep going as he did not want to be a “one-hit-wonder”. He has since released over 40 albums.

During our conversation, we spoke about the benefit of social media. Bandy has been utilizing social media to reach new fans, market himself, and share recipes. Be sure to listen to our full interview now to get your hands on an amazing chicken fajita recipe.

There are so many wonderful artists in the world, but not all of them can say they have historical markers nor an incredible friendship with a former United States President. In fact, Bandy’s song “Americana” was used during a Presidential campaign. To find out which one, listen to our fun conversation.

Bandy also has a fun relationship with Gene Watson. Together, they have filmed The Moe and Gene Show. Bandy also let me know that they like to pick on each other a bit. We all love shenanigans and this man seems to have quite a few stories tucked away and I cannot wait to hear more about them.

For now, please go on his website and grab yourself some of his music and merchandise. He has brand new hoodies that are amazing, so get one to stay warm this winter. Do not forget to stay up to date with his performance schedule. You will not want to miss out on a show near you. ~Missy

About Missy Wolf

Missy Wolf Co-Founder, Editor, Journalist & Vice President of the American Country Music Association

From an early age I knew music and entertainment were in my blood. I have always been enamored with the idea of being in this industry, though I never wanted to be a front and center "Star". Taking the audience behind the scenes for up close conversations with the artists they love is where I want to be. Life in lyrics has always been my style, so as my favorite country artist Wade Hayes sings, I am living my life and chasing my dreams! Conducting interviews, meeting talented people and sharing stories and adventure are my passion. My new favorite hashtag is #iaskyouanswer, so stay tuned for more interviews, articles and adventures!
