CMA Fest Artist Spotlight: Karen Waldrup
Our next CMA Fest Artist Spotlight is the lovely Karen Waldrup. While watching her on stage at Alley Taps, I was impressed with her stage presence. Not only did she command the entire audience, she wowed them with her vocals and personality. Even her guitar has a special personality that drew me in.
During our conversation backstage, I asked Waldrup to bring out her guitar to show everyone. This is no ordinary guitar. Watch our conversation now to learn the amazing story behind it. “New Orleans native, Karen Waldrup, is one of Nashville's newest and brightest stars to burst on the music scene. She's a triple threat musician, songwriter and recording artist, but live performances are her passion.
For the last several years, Waldrup has been touring full time and sharing the stage with artists such as Clay Walker, Sara Evans, Rodney Atkins, Gloriana, Josh Thompson and Terri Clark. In addition to playing all over the US, she has traveled to Ireland, Belize, Switzerland, Honduras and Guatemala to perform.
