Conversations with Missy: Adley Stump
For the first time ever, I am immediately releasing the conversation I had with a lovely artist this morning. Please make sure you get familiar with her as she is making a huge name for herself and will most definitely leave you wanting to stay connected to her every move.
From season two of NBC's “The Voice” as a team Blake Shelton contestant to the 2015 release of her EP Like This, Adley Stump is taking Nashville and the music industry by storm. Proving that she has what it takes to succeed in the brutal music industry, Stump has continued to work hard daily to achieve her dreams. With her ethical work practices and positive attitude, she is showing everyone with a dream how they too can achieve them.
We often see artists using their talents for a good cause. Stump is one of those artists. While preparing for our conversation, I read about a cause that immediately intrigued me. Listen as she explains the reason for this new clothing company and why it is important to her. In conjunction with her song “Stay at Home Soldier”, Stump has been making a difference in the lives of those in the military and their families. We spoke about her experience touring military bases with Little Black Dress Wines and how it was her stand out song that led to her mission to create this extraordinary clothing company. I say “Bravo” as this is an area that has been ignored by many for far too long.
Not only has Stump proven that she has what it takes to thrive in the music industry, she has also committed herself to helping others do the same. Rated as a number one “Best Selling Author” on AMAZON, Stump collaborated with many artists along with several music industry professionals to create How They Sell Music in an effort to help some of the many new and up and coming artists seeking advice on how to sell themselves and their talent in this harsh industry.
We also spoke about the many friendships you make with other artists when you live in Nashville. Stump shared what it was like to meet fellow "Okies" and team Blake alumni, The Swon Brothers, who are currently on tour with Carrie Underwood. The Voice has definitely been a great springboard for many artists, including RaeLynn. As you may recall, Shelton chose RaeLynn during her battle round with Stump when they sang "Free Fallin." Her experience on The Voice is one that she very grateful for as it has led her to many new opportunities.
Stump’s new single “Don’t Wanna Love Him” is a song almost everyone can relate to. Listen as she explains why we can relate to this song and who came up with the concept for video along with the song’s connection to Sam Hunt. Are you curious? Listen to our full conversation now for all the great details.
