Conversations with Missy: MamaDear from the Wildhorse Saloon
Meet Kelly Tillotson, Dan Wilson and Parker Bradway, also known as, MamaDear. Everyone has a story. Everything has a story. Not all stories are great. Some stories are exceptional while some are unbelievable. In this story, you will hear about love, friendship, passion and tiny porches.
This country music trio formed just over two and a half years ago while sitting on a front porch. It is the front porch that has inspired many dreams for hundreds of thousands across the world. The American dream includes a front porch with a white picket fence. The meaning is wholesome and pure just like the sound of this trio. Their name is what intrigued me. During our conversation I asked them the meaning of it. The explanation was moving. Watch now to find out why.
Opening for acts such as Brett Eldredge, Kristian Bush, and Thompson Square, this band is well on its way to a bigger and brighter future in country music. We recently caught up with MamaDear on March 17, 2016 at the Wildhorse Saloon as part of The New Nashville series. Their performance was spectacular. They have an amazing sound together and the harmonies are spot on. The crowd was approving, setting the perfect mood for this set.
There are no doubts in my mind that this trio will continue to gain fans and sit on more porches across the world. Being named Rolling Stone’s “Best Up-and-Comer” at CMA Fest 2014, is very telling of the level of talent these three posses. That talent also led to a Southwest Airlines flight crew asked them sing “Country Roads” over the loudspeaker to 37 rows of happy passengers. Imagine being lucky enough to be on that flight.
MamaDear's music is wholesome, pure and good. Bred from the love of a good old fashioned front porch with good people by your side, they are bringing the music world something different and unique. The world needs more positivity, more soothing, more love and a lot more front porch sitting. Grab some of their music now, grab a lemonade, sit outside and feel at home with MamaDear. You will be glad you did. ~Missy
