Conversations with Missy: Robby Johnson

Meet one of Nashville’s newest rising stars, Robby Johnson. Growing up in a French Province in Canada, Johnson has an accent that he has learned how to mask. You will never guess how.  Are you curious? I was too. Listen to our fun conversation to find out.

Johnson began his musical career not long after receiving a unique Christmas present. That present was the catalyst for this new artist’s successful start in the music industry. How many up and coming artists can say they have been invited to play on The Late Show with David Letterman? Who gave Johnson this gift? What was the gift that is responsible for so much success? It is all in our conversation, so be sure to listen to it in its entirety.

His debut album Don’t Look Back, is available on iTunes. This album features his newest single “Hate Me Tonight”. I cannot say enough about the songs on this album. They are all so fantastic. Fans have been gifted with a sampling of these songs as an album teaser on Johnson’s website. His full album also has a surprise musical guest that will absolutely “wow” you.  Do you want to know who it is? Yes, you do.  Listen now to find out who this secret sensation is.

One thing that I love about so many artists is their connection to fans. Watching Johnson interact with fans on social media led to me discovering one of the most beautiful moments captured in a photo. His son. This photo took my breath away. The look in the eyes of Johnson’s son simply melted my heart. We spoke about that moment and immediately I could hear the love for his son pouring out.

My words will not do this man the justice he so deserves. Go listen to his songs, pre-order his cd today, like him on Facebook, send him a shout out and tell him Missy sent you.

About Missy Wolf

Missy Wolf Co-Founder, Editor, Journalist & Vice President of the American Country Music Association

From an early age I knew music and entertainment were in my blood. I have always been enamored with the idea of being in this industry, though I never wanted to be a front and center "Star". Taking the audience behind the scenes for up close conversations with the artists they love is where I want to be. Life in lyrics has always been my style, so as my favorite country artist Wade Hayes sings, I am living my life and chasing my dreams! Conducting interviews, meeting talented people and sharing stories and adventure are my passion. My new favorite hashtag is #iaskyouanswer, so stay tuned for more interviews, articles and adventures!
