Conversations with Missy: Ryan Robinette
Artists come from all over. Ryan Robinette grew up in Southeastern Ohio just minutes away from the Jamboree in the Hills site. This country/pop singer, songwriter and recording artist has a lot to share with music fans all over the world.
Ryan's country roots led him to his first studio recorded EP Coming of Age. All the songs on that album are solo writes. Coming of Age has gained Ryan the attention of other established writers and given him the opportunity for co-writes in Nashville with professional writers. Ryan’s newest single “Let Me Start” was written with National Recording Artist George Ducas. During our conversation, Ryan and I talked about his experience working with George. Listen as he describes how he felt going into their writing session together.
While listening to Ryan's cover of Thomas Rhett's "Die a Happy Man", I was very impressed. We spoke about his creativity and ability to keep a song original but also making it his own. Ryan has played songwriters fests with many artists/writers and is also a co-writer on Tyler Rich’s EP Valerie. We discussed his friendship with Tyler and seeing him while touring with Dustin Lynch on the Hell of a Night Tour. Listen to our full conversation to hear all about that along with what is coming up for 2016.
