Conversations with Missy: Adam Searan
As a child Adam Searan knew that he wanted to be a musician. He began music at age 11 with inspirations such as Keith Urban and Counting Crows. It was evident that storytelling within the music was important to Adam.
In 2014, Adam earned himself the "Grand Prize" in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest for his entry of "Last". I asked him about how it felt winning this coveted award and about his writing. Writing songs that contain personal experiences such as "Rescue" has gained him attention from fans. We spoke about this song and what it means to him. It was very touching to hear him explain where this song came from. Many are able to relate to his words and find hope and courage within themselves to keep going.
Adam was recently signed to a publishing deal with Demolition Music Publishing and finished in second place in the latest season of television's Nash Next. As a Top 3 award winner on Nash Next, he will be a part of the Top 10 tour. Besides his tour, you will be able to find Adam on iTues with his self-titled debut EP! I immediately found myself loving his song, Little Old Man. Go check it out now! Be sure to listen to our full conversation to learn more about Adam Searan. I know you will love him too! ~Missy
