Country fans get ready! There is a movement coming! As many of you know, female country artists have not been getting the love or recognition they deserve. That is about to change. Meet Charissa Nicole. This woman has the vision to bring female artists to the top!

As a former member of the group Phoenix Drive, Charissa has shown the fans that she has a fabulous voice with a stage presence that draws you in. Now, as she pursues her solo career, she is not only showing us her amazing vocal abilities, she is showing us her creativity and the vision she has to rock the country music world.

Without giving too much away, Nashville, be on the lookout for WIM (Women in Music). I am so excited about this and the opportunities it is sure to create for so many talented females. Listen to our conversation for more! Her vision is inspiring and I am eager to see it come to fruition.

I know I jumped the gun a bit, so let me tell you a little about Charissa. Not only does she have a stunning voice, at ten years old she wrote her first song, "That Boy". She shared the story of whom that song was written about along with how she got her friend's involved. We also spoke about her very first performance, a talent show in fourth grade. We laughed together and I completely enjoyed having a real conversation with this beautiful soul.

As we got deeper into our conversation, I asked her about her involvement with the "Teddy Bear Ball." As you will hear, this event is in support of families who are affected by Autism. This is something that the Center Stage family is so proud of. Artists helping others by using their talent is remarkable. Thank you, Charissa!

While performing in the house band for the Teddy Bear Ball, Charissa has had the opportunity to sing backup for artists such as Reba McEntire, Raven Simone, and Brandy to name a few. Listen to her excitement as she shares her experiences supporting such a great cause. She has definitely impacted the lives of many and Center Stage Magazine wishes her all the best in her future endeavors. Now, go listen to our conversation, follow her on social media and BUY her music!!! ~Missy

About Missy Wolf

Missy Wolf Co-Founder, Editor, Journalist & Vice President of the American Country Music Association

From an early age I knew music and entertainment were in my blood. I have always been enamored with the idea of being in this industry, though I never wanted to be a front and center "Star". Taking the audience behind the scenes for up close conversations with the artists they love is where I want to be. Life in lyrics has always been my style, so as my favorite country artist Wade Hayes sings, I am living my life and chasing my dreams! Conducting interviews, meeting talented people and sharing stories and adventure are my passion. My new favorite hashtag is #iaskyouanswer, so stay tuned for more interviews, articles and adventures!
