Conversations with Missy: Lance Stinson

by Missy Wolf / 3266 days ago / Comments

Recently I sat down and spoke with Lance Stinson over the phone. We got caught up on what he has had going on since we saw him last at CMA Fest 2015. He has been very busy putting on shows for his many adoring fans. If you explore his Facebook page you will see tons of pictures of him with these supportive fans.

I read that Lance used to listen to country music with his dad on an 8 track player in his '79 Ford Pickup. I had to know more about that as I had similar memories with my dad. It was fun to hear him recall those days. That is when he told me about his style of music and how he came up with its name, "Kick-in-the-Teeth Country". Listen to our conversation for all the fun details.

Lance has been gaining a lot of attention and recognition for his incredible music by many. We talked about all the new endorsements he is receiving and how amazing it is. He really is appreciative of everyone who has been a part of his phenomenal journey thus far. He even took the time to give a shout out to "Earl the Pearl" from the Vidalia, GA. radio station! It was nice to hear all the good things he had to say about those who have helped him on the way to success.

While Lance currently works on his second album, Relentless, he wants to make sure it is up to his standard, so the release has been pushed back.  It was due out November, but as soon as it becomes available we will let you know. For now you can check out some of his videos on his YouTube channel, like, "Taillights and Dust". He has a great deal of videos on there, including a cover of Randy Hauser's "How Country Goes". So check him out after you listen to our conversation! ~Missy

About Missy Wolf

Missy Wolf Co-Founder, Editor, Journalist & Vice President of the American Country Music Association

From an early age I knew music and entertainment were in my blood. I have always been enamored with the idea of being in this industry, though I never wanted to be a front and center "Star". Taking the audience behind the scenes for up close conversations with the artists they love is where I want to be. Life in lyrics has always been my style, so as my favorite country artist Wade Hayes sings, I am living my life and chasing my dreams! Conducting interviews, meeting talented people and sharing stories and adventure are my passion. My new favorite hashtag is #iaskyouanswer, so stay tuned for more interviews, articles and adventures!
